The Undersea Technology Portfolio, within SPA's Sea, Land, & Air Division, conducts rigorous and objective analyses to enable the Navy and other DoD organizations to make decisions, plans, and strategies to deliver emerging technologies and warfighting capabilities.  We support clients across the undersea, naval special warfare, and expeditionary warfare enterprises, including those within resourcing and requirements, acquisition, and science and technology. S

Responsibilities

The candidate will support a PEO (SUB) Program Office and act as a program analyst. The candidate will provide program expertise to government Program or Project Managers who oversee Undersea Acoustic Systems, Combat Submarines, Imaging Systems, or Training Systems. The candidate will:

  • Provide Undersea Weapon System logistics subject matter expertise to NAVSEA affiliated PEOs and program managers for selected appropriated programs.
  • Assist government program managers in developing weapon system training, maintenance, and logistics requirements and acquisition documentation and program actions.
  • Support government program managers in developing, managing, and evaluating contractual documentation and deliverables from the prime system integrator in support of system design and development acquisition milestones.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 yrs experience with Navy Acquisition/In Service Programs
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field
  • 5 yrs experience working with US Navy submarine programs
  • Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong communication and customer management skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Active Secret Security DoD clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

 Desired Qualifications:

  • Sub Combat Systems, Fire Control, BYG-1, Weapons Control experience highly desired
  • Relevant experience with NAVSEA acquisition or in-service programs
  • Relevant logistics or maintenance experience n Navy Sonar/radar, Combat System, Electronic Warfare or Imaging System, or other Undersea Warfare programs
  • 3 or more years of experience as a program manager
