Job description

MTSI is seeking an experienced 2W0 (7Level) professional with bomber munitions and loading experience to support munitions logistics, munitions facility oversight, key and lock program management, explosive safety compliance, loading, and sustainment of weapon systems integrated on AFGSC aircraft. This position serves as the crucial link between program offices and flight line operations, ensuring new weapon systems are safe, maintainable, and operationally effective for longterm use. The location of this position is Barksdale AFB, LA.

Key Responsibilities Provide maintainer advocacy during program reviews and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Analyze new weapon system designs for maintainability, support equipment needs, loading procedures, and technical data. Support lifecycle integration events, including aircraft fit checks, support equipment validation, and firsttime loading assessments.

Review draft training plans, course materials, and technical orders for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with established safety protocols. Serve as liaison between AFGSC, weapon/aircraft SPOs, and AFOTEC on sustainment and test matters. Communicate operational impacts and field realities to program managers and leadership.

Brief senior AFGSC leadership on sustainment readiness, risks, and technical assessments. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years related experience Fully qualified Munitions Craftsman (7level) with 10+ years of Munitions Systems experience. Familiarity with DoD Directive 5205.07, DoDM 5100.76, AFI 21201, AFI 21200, AFI 21101, and explosive safety standards

Experience with munitions logistics, GACP operations, and FIARcompliant munitions supply systems. Strong explosive safety background (6week course available if needed). Experience as a Munitions Inspector (SEI 836) and in Munitions Operations (MASO delegate preferred).

Previous Bomber MDS maintenance or loading experience. Active TS/SCI clearance. Experience at MAJCOM, NAF, or HAF levels in a similar capacity.

Prior SCI or SAP program experience. Strong knowledge of DoD and USAF acquisition, requirements, and PPBE processes. Ability to work independently in a hightempo environment.

Strong communication skills; comfortable briefing senior leaders. Desired Qualifications DAU requirements certification and HQlevel requirements development experience. USAF Advanced Maintenance and Munitions Operations School (AMMOS) graduate.

Education Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree desired. Travel Requirements Frequent travel; expect at least one TDY per month.

Security Requirements Active TS with inscope SSBI; must be able to obtain/maintain SCI/SAP/NATO eligibility. Current SCI preferred. Subject to random drug and polygraph testing.

Additional Information Position is fully onsite at Barksdale AFB; no remote or telework authorized. Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 0800-1700 U.S. citizenship required
