Position Summary

HB Wealth is seeking an Associate Wealth Advisor to support the delivery of comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services. This role partners closely with Lead and Secondary Advisors to prepare and implement financial plans, conduct investment and wealth management analysis, and develop client-focused recommendations. The Associate Wealth Advisor actively participates in client meetings, tracks ongoing correspondence, and executes follow-up actions to ensure a seamless and high-quality client experience. While not typically leading client relationships, this role is expected to proactively identify client needs and contribute to relationship success and retention through exceptional service. Additionally, the Associate Wealth Advisor plays an integral role on the team by reviewing and managing the work of Advisory Associates and Senior Advisory Associates, ensuring quality and timeliness, and providing guidance and mentorship on financial planning methodologies and firm-specific processes.


Job Responsibilities


General Support

  • Assist with planning, analysis, investment, and other decisions that affect client relationships, consulting with the Secondary/Lead Advisor and Wealth Strategist on complex decisions as needed.
  • Review the deliverables of junior team members and provide guidance and feedback to help develop their skills.
  • Leverage the time and expertise of Sr. Wealth Advisors by assisting them and, at times, stepping in for them in executing steps in the client service process.
  • Maintain internal systems with up-to-date client data, areas of priority, and activities.
  • Train, coach, and/or mentor Analysts and Senior Advisory Analysts.
  • Contribute to the Advisory Team's initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and control through system training, enhancements, and process improvements.

Advisory

  • Assist with coordinating relationship management activities for new and/or existing clients by working with and supervising Advisory Analysts, Senior Advisory Analysts, and Client Service Associates.
  • Prepare and update financial plans, working with clients to obtain necessary information and ensuring it is accurately entered into the firm's financial planning systems.
  • Attend internal strategic planning meetings for clients to observe and provide support as needed.
  • Participate in client meetings and add value by delivering presentations and preparing relevant information.
  • Create custom worksheets and analyses to address client questions or research planning topics.
  • Work closely with the Client Onboarding Coordinator to ensure a smooth client transition.
  • Assist in developing investment policy statements.
  • Serve as the client's "financial quarterback," advising on investments, retirement, cash flow, taxes, debt, charitable giving, education planning, insurance, and estate planning.
  • Collaborate, on a limited basis, with clients' external service teams, including accountants and attorneys, to support client goals.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university 
  • 4-7 years of relevant industry experience 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting client relationships 
  • Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Proficiency with financial planning, CRM, and Portfolio reporting software 
  • Professional designation (ex. CFA, CFP) required
