Job description

Morton Wealth is currently looking for talented individuals who are interested in future opportunities for a Wealth Advisor position. We are an RIA that manages roughly $3 billion in assets across 1,200+ families. Our investment approach is distinctly not "Wall Street" as we are willing to look beyond traditional investments if we feel that alternative investments can more closely match our investment philosophy of risk management, true diversification and cash flow. In addition to our unique investment approach, we also offer comprehensive financial advice that aligns with traditional CFP® education as well as behavioral finance.
At Morton, our Wealth Advisors are key contributors to our organization, as their primary responsibility is to foster deep relationships with each of our clients. Through regular and transparent communication, our Wealth Advisors ensure our clients feel valued and understood, fostering a sense of stability and partnership. The expectation is that our advisors prioritize building trust and rapport with our clients to create an amazing experience that ultimately leads to client referrals. Additionally, Wealth Advisors play a critical role in fostering collaboration between the Client Service, Operations and Financial Planning teams to ensure timely execution of any tasks related to their clients.
Requirements
Daily responsibilities include:
  • Provide clients with investment and financial planning advice, which includes: overseeing portfolio design, making new alternative investment recommendations and general client communication regarding investments.
  • Connect with clients on a regular basis via text, video, phone or social gathering.
  • Oversee the accuracy of client planning services and review portfolio for recommendations/changes.
  • Provide each client with a "WOW" moment at least once per year.
  • Coordinate with trading team regarding new deposits and cash buildup.
  • Network with professionals that can help fulfill client needs and solve problems.
  • Grow the revenue of the organization through wallet share, client and personal network referrals and Morton generated leads.
  • Execute the prospect experience through connect calls, prospect meetings, prospect proposals and onboarding oversight.
  • Actively participate in weekly advisor growth meetings and contribute to the development of your peers.

Our ideal candidate for this role will strive to reflect our core values in the following ways:
  • Excellence - Exhibits high attention to detail and organizational skills while able to prioritize multiple requests and tasks.
  • Empowerment - Has a desire to continue improving at his/her job function and suggests ways the team can work more efficiently.
  • Empathy - Has good communication skills and understands how the role fits into company goals.
  • Ethical - Fully completes task at hand and does not cut corners. Aware of time and costs associated with role and strives for efficiency.
  • Engagement - Has a passion for understanding the job functions for each role and is fulfilled by understanding how those functions fit into the larger objectives of the entire firm.
  • Enjoyment - Works well as part of a team and participates in Morton events.
