Job description

RMR Wealth Builders is seeking a Wealth Advisor to join our growing team at our Montclair, New Jersey headquarters. This client‑facing role focuses on comprehensive financial planning, retirement education, and relationship management.

Job Location

Montclair, NJ (In-Person, Full‑Time Role)

What You'll Do
  • Lead clients through RMR's comprehensive financial planning process.
  • Conduct client review meetings and maintain ongoing client relationships.
  • Develop, maintain, and present comprehensive financial plans utilizing eMoney Advisor.
  • Analyze client financial information and model planning recommendations through eMoney.
  • Help clients navigate retirement planning, retirement income, investment, insurance, and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with our Review Team to prepare for client meetings and implement planning recommendations.
  • Participate in retirement education initiatives, client workshops, and educational events.
  • Gradually assume greater responsibility for client relationships and meeting leadership.
  • Participate in long‑term client transition and succession planning initiatives.
  • Support business development and client acquisition efforts alongside senior advisors.
  • Contribute to firm growth initiatives and client retention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for clients and their families.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, banking, financial services, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Passion for financial planning and client education.
  • Ability to build trust and develop long‑term client relationships.

Preferred

  • Experience utilizing eMoney Advisor or similar financial planning software.
  • Experience conducting client review meetings and financial planning engagements.
  • Knowledge of retirement planning, investment management, estate planning, and risk management strategies.
  • Series 65 license (or willingness to obtain).
  • Life and Health Insurance License (or willingness to obtain).
