Opening Summary:
The Associate Director, Wealth Advisor, is an emerging growth and advisory role focused on building client acquisition discipline in the Louisville market through CPA partner channels, referrals, and local centers of influence. This person will partner with senior leaders and advisors to develop a proactive pipeline, convert qualified opportunities into client relationships, and deliver high-quality planning conversations. The role is designed for someone with 3-7 years of experience who has strong client instincts, commercial drive, and the potential to grow into a market leadership role over time.
Primary Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Pipeline Development:
  • Build and maintain a developing pipeline of qualified client opportunities, with coaching and support from senior leadership.
  • Source opportunities through CPA partners, referral networks, local relationships, and firm-led growth initiatives.
  • Support opportunities from introduction through proposal, close, and onboarding.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM activity, pipeline notes, follow-up cadence, and next-step ownership.
CPA Partner Activation:
  • Develop productive working relationships with CPA partner firms and their client-facing professionals.
  • Help translate CPA relationships into qualified referrals through consistent follow-up and clear value messaging.
  • Support partner education, meeting preparation, and referral opportunity tracking.
  • Represent Choreo as a responsive, credible, and collaborative partner.
Client Engagement & Conversion Support:
  • Lead or co-lead discovery conversations with prospective clients and families.
  • Identify planning needs, client priorities, and decision drivers across wealth, tax, estate, and investment topics.
  • Prepare for and participate in proposal conversations with appropriate senior advisor involvement.
  • Support a smooth transition from prospect to client onboarding.
Integrated Solution Delivery:
  • Coordinate with planning, investment, tax, and estate specialists to help shape cohesive client recommendations.
  • Translate technical resources into clear, client-ready insights and next steps.
  • Ensure follow-through across internal teams so client and referral partner expectations are met.
Market Development:
  • Build visibility in the Louisville market through targeted networking, professional associations, and COI relationships.
  • Support local brand-building activity, partner events, and community engagement.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and share feedback that can improve Choreo's growth playbook.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-7 years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, private banking, or a related client-facing financial services role.
  • Series 65 licensed
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, manage follow-up, and advance client or referral opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of financial planning concepts and high-net-worth client needs.
  • Strong communication skills, commercial judgment, and comfort engaging with referral partners and prospective clients.
  • CRM experience and strong follow-through discipline.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working with CPAs, attorneys, professional services firms, or other centers of influence preferred.
  • Existing TBD network or demonstrated ability to build one is preferred.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth clients or business owners is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, coachability, and desire to grow into broader advisor or market leadership responsibility.
