We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Wealth Management Department. Boulay Wealth provides clients with holistic and integrated tax, estate, investment, and wealth advice to simplify the financial.

As an Intern, you will work directly with the Advisor team to understand the "why" behind the services we provide. Wealth Management Interns will not be asked to generate business (through cold-calling or generating client leads) but rather focusing their time providing direct assistance to our advisors and associates to fulfill the needs of our clients. You will be given the support you need to develop a breadth of skills and experiences that will enable you to achieve your goals. Responsibilities

Financial Planning Processes (Majority of Internship)

  • Work in financial planning software, eMoney, to build financial plans and craft recommendations.
  • Research and present findings on assigned financial planning topics.

Client Relationship Management

  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings.
  • Assist in the development of client communications.

Tax Planning

  • Roll over previous year tax returns into tax planning software, Holistiplan, to prepare for tax planning season.
  • Prepare tax projections to illustrate tax planning opportunities for clients.

Portfolio Management

  • Assist with investment activities that may include trading, analyzing trends, and evaluating asset allocation.
  • Learn about the due diligence that goes into selecting investment products.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in financial planning, finance, or accounting 
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid track record of academic achievements
  • Completion of intermediate finance and/or accounting course(s)
  • General understanding of financial markets, economics, investment products and financial planning
  • Strong analytical aptitude and ability to synthesize complex information
  • Detailed oriented with sound organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and be self-directed

Internships are paid, full-time experiences which run May - August in our Eden Prairie, Minnesota office. We recruit well in advance of this time frame to allow youflexibility and time to make arrangements for housing and required classes.
