Job description

Willis Johnson Wealth is seeking creative and motivated college Juniors and Seniors to join our Marketing and Business Development team for a Fall Internship in our Houston office.
This internship provides hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and brand storytelling within a growing wealth management firm. Interns will work alongside experienced team members on meaningful projects that support the firm’s marketing strategy, business development efforts, and client communication initiatives.
This is not a traditional coffee and errands internship. Interns will contribute directly to real marketing initiatives, gain exposure to the financial services industry, and develop practical skills in marketing strategy, content production, and digital marketing execution.
Throughout the fall, interns will have opportunities to collaborate with team members across the firm, receive mentorship, and participate in company events and team building activities.
Why Willis Johnson Wealth
Willis Johnson Wealth is a fast-growing, fee-only wealth management firm serving corporate executives and professionals. We help clients optimize their financial lives, from compensation and benefits planning to tax mitigation, retirement planning, and investment management.
Our integrated approach combines financial planning, investment management, and in house tax services, allowing us to deliver highly personalized advice to complex clients. As a fee only firm, we do not sell products or earn commissions. Our only incentive is helping clients make better financial decisions.

As a Marketing Intern at Willis Johnson Wealth, you will:
  • Assist in planning and scheduling social media content calendars
  • Design and create digital content for social media and marketing campaigns
  • Conduct competitor research and analyze digital marketing trends including SEO, email marketing, webinars, and digital advertising
  • Support business development initiatives through email campaigns, outreach, and marketing materials
  • Assist with creating marketing collateral including infographics, presentations, social media graphics, and short form video content
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and improve content across multiple channels

What We Are Looking For

You work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
  • Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Basic familiarity with personal finance or financial planning concepts
  • Experience producing content for a professional audience
  • A portfolio of individual design or content creation work including writing samples, graphic design, web content, or video
What We Offer
  • Paid internship
    • Undergraduates: $21 per hour
    • Graduates, Post Grad, MBA: $23 per hour
  • Collaborative and supportive teammates
  • Mentorship and learning opportunities
