Job description

Overview
This position is responsible for designing and delivering tailored wealth strategies for high-net-worth individuals and families. Success is measured by new client acquisition, retention, and growth of an existing portfolio. The advisor ensures each client receives a personalized Trustmark experience that reflects their goals and preferences.
**This position may be filled as a Level I, II or III. Additional responsibilities and qualifications apply.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary relationship lead for high-net-worth clients ensuring they can access the firm's full suite of solutions.
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers, Private Wealth Client Executives, and Financial Planners to evaluate a client's financial picture and develop comprehensive short and long term plans.
  • Drive business development by creating and executing strategies to expand the client base and promote the bank's full capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen relationships by reviewing client holdings-including those outside the firm-to consolidate assets or introduce additional services such as credit, fiduciary support, or financial planning.
  • Manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent movement through the sales cycle and achievement of revenue targets.
  • Lead ongoing relationship reviews with internal partners to ensure client objectives remain on track.
  • Coordinate communication and activities across the advisory team, recommending wealth solutions as needed.
  • Build strong internal and external partnerships to generate new business and address client or prospect needs.
  • Associates are expected to perform all additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • At least one of the following:
    • High School Diploma or GED and a Graduate of Trust School plus 3 years of experience in the administration of the type of accounts and clients related to the organizational unit; or
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, plus 5 years of experience in the administration of the type of accounts and clients related to the organizational unit; or
    • Graduate Degree with 3 years of experience in the administration of the type of accounts and clients related to the organizational unit or in a field related to the graduate degree.
  • The associate must be able to demonstrate at least a moderate level of knowledge of the types, complexity, respective governance, transactions and industry practices of the clients and accounts administered by the organizational unit.
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills (oral and written)
  • Certified Trust and Financial Advisor ("CTFA") or other Certification within the field of the organizational unit preferred
  • Juris Doctor preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • CFP "Certified Financial Planner" preferred
  • CWS "Certified Wealth Strategist" preferred

Level II Additional Qualifications:
  • At least one of the following:
    • High School Diploma or GED and a Graduate of Trust School plus 6 years of experience in the administration of the type of accounts and clients related to the organizational unit; or
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, plus 10 years of experience in the administration of the type of accounts and clients related to the organizational unit; or
    • Graduate Degree with 7 years of experience in the administration of the type of accounts and clients related to the organizational unit or in a field related to the graduate degree.
  • 7 years in the private practice of law or professional accounting; or
  • 3 years of financial planning and/or proven sales experience in a Wealth Management firm.

Level III Additional Qualifications:
  • At least one of the following:
    • High School Diploma or GED and a Graduate of Trust School plus 8 years of experience in the administration of the type of accounts and clients related to the organizational unit; or
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, plus 12 years of experience in the administration of the type of accounts and clients related to the organizational unit; or
    • Graduate Degree with 10 years of experience in the administration of the type of accounts and clients related to the organizational unit or in a field related to the graduate degree.
  • 10 years in the private practice of law or professional accounting; or
  • 5 years of financial planning and/or proven sales experience in a Wealth Management firm.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse requiring hand and wrist manipulation, while viewing computer screens.
