Associate Veterinarian (DVM) – Small Animal (Dogs & Cats)

Wave Veterinary Medical Center – Castroville, California

Wave Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our privately owned small animal (dogs and cats only) practice in Castroville, California. We are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate veterinary care while maintaining a professional, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
About Our Practice

Wave Veterinary Medical Center is a modern, well-equipped canine and feline hospital focused on efficient workflows and excellent medical care. Our facility includes:
  • Ultrasound
  • Digital radiography including dental 
  • Updated anesthetic and patient monitoring equipment
  • DIgital medical records
Our hospital hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a predictable schedule and strong work–life balance.
Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be confident in general small animal medicine and capable of performing routine surgical procedures for dogs and cats. Responsibilities include:
  • Preventive, diagnostic, and medical care for canine and feline patients
  • Clear and compassionate client communication
  • Routine soft-tissue surgeries, including mass removals
  • Dental procedures, including dental extractions
  • Other common small animal surgical procedures

Schedule & Employment Details

  • Minimum commitment of 32 hours per week
  • No after-hours or late evening shifts

Compensation & Benefits
