Scope of Position
The Regional Sales Manager - West Coast is responsible for developing and executing a focused sales strategy across the plumbing channel to achieve financial and strategic growth objectives. This role drives growth for Josam, A Watts Brand by building strong relationships with agents, wholesalers, contractors, engineers, and internal partners.
The position reports to the National Sales Manager and does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and set quotas and execute regional product sales strategies and goals in partnership with representatives and channel partners.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and promote a customer-centric mindset
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, wholesalers, and engineers to drive product adoption
  • Manage a group of Independent Representative Agencies within the Western Sales Region.
  • Be the main contact for representatives within the defined region and facilitate interaction between internal and external contacts within the region.
  • Develop and implement annual sales strategies, goals, and quotas for the territory - by product category.
  • Support training and education efforts to enhance product knowledge and compliance with industry standards to various audiences.
  • Identify, develop, and grow new business channels leveraging cross-platform opportunities to grow sales.
  • Drive pricing strategy in partnership with Product Management using market insights
  • Manage a portfolio of mature product lines while supporting new product introductions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Pricing, Logistics, Marketing, Training) to improve product adoption and service levels
  • Represent Josam a Watts Brand at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements
  • Anticipate and resolve customer and channel challenges quickly and proactively
  • Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through effective partner engagement
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by National Sales Manager or Company management.
  • Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)
  • Travel Requirements: Minimum 50% travel outside of home state or territory. Candidates living in Western Region (CA,OR,WA,NV,AZ,NM,UT,CO,ID,MT,WY) are preferred.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience in representative management in the plumbing industry.
  • Proven ability to drive growth and develop strong customer relationships
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated with strong time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including [insert checks], and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Working Conditions
While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in the office at any Watts Water or subsidiary location for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.
