Job description

PA- Urology - Lakeland, FL

The Urology Department at Watson Clinic is seeking a skilled PA to join our collaborative team and deliver exceptional, patient-centered urologic care across inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative settings.

About the Inpatient Role

  • Provide comprehensive care across clinic, hospital, outpatient, and perioperative environments.

  • Support outpatient urology services, including follow-up visits, chronic condition management, diagnostic evaluations, and patient education.

  • Perform First Assist responsibilities in the operating room.

  • Manage post-operative care, including rounding, orders, and discharge planning.

  • Complete admissions, histories & physicals, discharges, consults, and triage.

  • Partner closely with urologists, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions of care.

About the Outpatient Role

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient urologic care, including follow-up visits, chronic condition management, and patient education.

  • Conduct evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.

  • Perform in-office procedures as appropriate to scope and training.

  • Collaborate closely with urologists, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless, coordinated care.

  • Support patient access by managing both scheduled and same-day visits.

Preferred Experience & Attributes

  • Prior experience in Urology, Surgery, Hospital Medicine, or other acute care settings strongly preferred.

  • Strong procedural skills, sound clinical judgment, and excellent communication in fast-paced environments.

  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and a patient-first mindset.

Schedule & Call

  • Full-time schedule aligned with service needs across clinic, outpatient, hospital, and OR settings.

  • On-call responsibilities required as part of team coverage.
