Watershed Research Assistants are professionals who support scientific studies related to watersheds, which are land areas that channel rainfall and snowmelt to creeks, streams, and rivers. They typically assist with fieldwork, data collection, lab analysis, and reporting on water quality, soil, plants, and wildlife within a watershed. Their work helps researchers, environmental agencies, and policymakers understand how natural and human activities affect water resources and ecosystem health.
