Technical Product Trainer (Tile & Building Materials)
Location: South Georgia or North Florida (Supporting FL, GA, SC, and NC Territory)
Job Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $65,000 Base Salary

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Technical Product Trainer to support our expanding presence throughout the Southeast. This field-based role combines product training, customer support, demonstrations, and territory development for innovative tile and building material solutions.
The ideal candidate has experience in construction, flooring, tile installation, building materials, contractor support, or product training and enjoys working directly with customers in the field. This position plays a critical role in driving product adoption by educating distributors, retail partners, contractors, and installers on product features, installation methods, and best practices.
Working closely with the National Sales Manager, the Technical Product Trainer will serve as a trusted technical resource while helping strengthen customer relationships and support territory growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Travel throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina conducting product training sessions, demonstrations, and field support activities
  • Train contractors, installers, distributors, and retail associates on proper product usage, installation techniques, and industry best practices
  • Conduct hands-on product demonstrations at distributor locations, retail stores, contractor events, and job sites
  • Support territory growth initiatives by increasing product awareness, knowledge, and field adoption
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, contractors, and key customer accounts
  • Coordinate and schedule store visits, training events, contractor demonstrations, and educational workshops
  • Maintain and operate a company vehicle stocked with training materials, tools, and demonstration products
  • Provide field feedback regarding customer needs, product performance, competitive activity, and market opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify opportunities for growth and improved customer engagement
  • Represent the company professionally at customer locations, industry events, trade shows, and job sites
Travel Requirements
  • Up to 75% travel throughout the Southeast territory
  • Typically traveling approximately three weeks per month
  • Frequent overnight travel required
  • Regular visits to major markets, including South Florida
  • Flexible schedule based on customer and territory needs
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Construction
    • Building materials
    • Tile or flooring installation
    • Waterproofing systems
    • Contractor sales
    • Product training
    • Field service or technical support
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of tile systems, thinset, waterproofing products, flooring systems, or related construction materials preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable speaking to groups and conducting hands-on product demonstrations

  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
