Job Description

Sika is looking for a Technical Services & Approvals Manager to join it's growing team in the Canton, MA area for the Roofing business. This position is responsible for managing third-party testing programs, maintaining regulatory approvals, supporting new product development, and providing technical expertise across the organization. This role works closely with testing agencies, vendors, R&D, Sales, Marketing, and global teams to ensure product compliance, approval continuity, and technical excellence within the roofing and waterproofing industry. The following are some of the duties, a full description is available upon request.

  • Coordinate and manage third-party testing with agencies such as FM, UL, and others to support product approvals and certifications.
  • Develop testing proposals, agreements, and quotes with testing organizations.
  • Coordinate shipment of materials to test laboratories and ensure proper sample preparation.
  • Manage and maintain building code and product approvals, including Florida Building Code (FBC), Factory Mutual (FM), Miami-Dade NOAs, DORA, and Texas Department of Insurance (TDI).
  • Coordinate revisions to engineering evaluation reports and certification documentation.
  • Submit and manage approval revisions requested by Sales and Technical teams.
  • Update and maintain private label agreements as needed.
  • Develop and present product demonstrations and mock-ups for contractor, consultant, and advisory meetings.
  • Create models and displays for industry trade shows and associations (e.g., IIBEC, IRE).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, materials science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with third-party testing, product certifications, or regulatory approvals in the construction or building materials industry.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, product approvals, and compliance processes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
