Job description

Sanctum Home is seeking a skilled Tile Installer / Remodeling Technician who takes pride in craftsmanship and can complete bathroom, kitchen, and residential remodeling projects from demolition through finish work. This position requires experience in tile installation, waterproofing systems, carpentry, drywall, and coordinating with other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform demolition of bathrooms, kitchens, and other residential spaces.
  • Prepare floors, walls, and substrates for tile installation.
  • Install waterproofing systems, including sheet membranes and liquid-applied waterproofing, in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Install ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, mosaic, and large-format tile.
  • Build and float shower pans, niches, benches, and curbless shower systems.
  • Coordinate work with plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
  • Install and finish drywall, including hanging, taping, mudding, sanding, and texture matching when required.
  • Install cement board, foam board, and other tile backer systems.
  • Install trim, baseboards, door casing, interior doors, and finish carpentry.
  • Set shower glass blocking, accessories, vanities, and bathroom fixtures as required.
  • Perform caulking, grouting (including epoxy grout), and final detailing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
  • Protect customer property with proper dust containment and floor protection.
  • Read blueprints, layouts, and project plans.
  • Communicate project progress and material needs with project managers.
  • Load, unload, and transport tools and materials.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes and company quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tile installation and residential remodeling experience preferred.
  • Experience with Schluter, Wedi, Kerdi, or similar waterproofing systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of tile layouts, cuts, leveling systems, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to install drywall and perform professional taping and finishing.
  • Experience with finish carpentry, including baseboards, casing, and door installation.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools and construction equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Bathroom remodeling experience.
  • Kitchen remodeling experience.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and electrical rough-ins.
  • Experience with cultured marble and solid surface wall systems.
  • Ability to read construction plans and take field measurements.
  • Experience installing luxury vinyl plank (LVP), hardwood, or laminate flooring is a plus.
