Waterjet Operator / Forklift Operator

Location: Houston, TX

Pay rate: $19/Hr.


Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Waterjet Operator / Forklift Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating CNC waterjet cutting equipment to produce precision metal parts while safely handling raw materials and finished products using forklifts. The ideal candidate has experience working in a metal service center or manufacturing environment and is committed to quality, accuracy, and workplace safety.


Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC waterjet cutting machines according to work orders and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and shop drawings.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and dimensional requirements.
  • Load, unload, and transport stainless steel, nickel alloys, and other materials using forklifts.
  • Stage materials for production and move completed orders to designated locations.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate production records and material tracking.
  • Assist with inventory organization and warehouse operations as needed.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating a waterjet cutting machine preferred.
  • Forklift operating experience required; certification is a plus.
  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, nickel alloys, or specialty metals is preferred.
  • Ability to read measuring instruments, blueprints, and production drawings.
  • Basic computer skills for production tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attendance, reliability, and teamwork skills.
