Rhode Island Fast Ferry operates high-speed ferry service to Martha's Vineyard and lighthouse cruises on Narragansett Bay. Our commercial division, Atlantic Wind Transfers, supports offshore wind projects along the East Coast with advanced crew transfer vessels.

The RoleAtlantic Wind Transfers is seeking a Captain to operate our offshore wind Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) out of Quonset Point, North Kingstown, RI. This is a full-time, non-rotational position-candidates must be based locally or willing to relocate. Housing is not provided.
As Captain, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of high-speed crew transfer catamarans supporting offshore wind farm operations. You'll lead your crew, manage day-to-day vessel operations, and serve as the point person onboard, with full support from our shoreside team.

Oversee day-to-day vessel operations, maintenance, and readiness
Ensure compliance with all company safety, security, and operational procedures
Deliver a high standard of service to offshore wind clients and personnel
Maintain vessel logs, reporting, and administrative responsibilities
Take ownership of all onboard activity and decision-making
USCG Master's License (100 GRT or greater)
Radar Observer (Unlimited)
First Aid / CPR / AED certification
Strong radar and vessel handling experience
Experience operating high-speed, waterjet-driven catamarans
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform daily vessel maintenance
STCW Basic Training (preferred)
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Work on modern, high-performance vessels in the offshore wind industry
