Job description

We are looking for a UTILITY OPERATOR to join our Newberry, FL plant. As a Utility Operator with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will operate equipment and perform housekeeping duties throughout the plant, ensuring a clean and compliant work environment.

About the Role
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate mobile equipment as required to meet production targets and perform clean up necessary for an efficient operation.
  • Use of hand tools and power tools to perform work.
  • Use of vacuum truck, water truck, sweeper, forklift, loader, etc. as required.
  • Ensure that all risk assessments, work place inspections, vehicle inspections and equipment inspections are completed each shift or when conditions change.
  • Provides plant maintenance and site clean-up.
  • Perform any and all other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

About You
We Require:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 1-year of industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing experience.
  • Equipment operation experience (e.g., forklifts).
  • Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Work any shifts, including weekends and paid holidays as schedules dictate.
