Job description

I-2-I Solutions is seeking a qualified candidates to support the sampling portion of a water testing and analysis opportunity located in Lake Placid, Florida.

This opportunity is for water sample collection services only. The subcontractor will collect samples from designated special district locations in accordance with applicable Florida Department of Environmental Protection sampling procedures. Samples must be properly collected, documented, labeled, and handled for submission to an accredited laboratory.

Scope of Work – Sampling Services Only

The candidate will be responsible for field sampling at the following locations:

  1. Istokpoga Marsh Watershed Improvement District
    Location: Off County Road 621, Lake Placid, FL
    Sampling Purpose: Total Phosphorus
    Schedule: Monthly
    Estimated Time at Site: 2–4 hours
    Sampling Requirement: Collect water samples from eleven designated canal and field sampling locations.
  2. Sun ’N Lakes of Lake Placid Special Recreation District
    Location: 440 S. Sun N Lake Blvd., Lake Placid, FL
    Sampling Purpose: Bacteria testing support
    Schedule: Quarterly well-water bacteria clearance testing; monthly seasonal beach sampling for North Beach and South Beach.
  3. Highlands Park Special Benefit District
    Location: 16415 Deerglen Blvd., Lake Placid, FL
    Sampling Purpose: Bacteria testing support
    Schedule: Quarterly well-water bacteria clearance testing.
  4. Placid Lakes Special Benefit District
    Locations: 501 Catfish Creek Road, Lake Placid, FL and 212 Humphrey Avenue, Lake Placid, FL
    Sampling Purpose: Bacteria testing support
    Schedule: Monthly seasonal beach sampling for East Beach and West Beach during the required months.

Responsibilities

Collect water samples at assigned Lake Placid, FL locations.
Follow applicable Florida DEP sampling procedures.
Properly label, document, preserve, and handle collected samples.
Coordinate sample delivery or transfer for accredited laboratory testing.
Maintain reliable availability for monthly and quarterly sampling schedules.
Communicate field updates, sampling completion, and any site issues promptly.

Qualifications

Experience with environmental, water-quality, or field sample collection.
Knowledge of proper sampling, labeling, preservation, and chain-of-custody practices.
