Job description

Job Summary:

The SERVER ASSISTANT supports the efficient operation of the restaurant and contributes to providing every guest with an exceptional dining experience. This crucial role is tasked with ensuring that side stations are stocked, tables are properly maintained, and that service to guest(s) is prompt and unobtrusive.

Essential Functions: Must be willing and able to: 

  • Provide friendly, personal, professional service to all Guest
  • Understand ?The 7 Intents Service Model?, and apply the principles to all Guest interactions
  • Ensure that the dining room, lobby and service areas are clean, stocked and appealing 
  • Maintain thorough familiarity with all standards of proper service etiquette
  • Provide water service
  • Assist servers with general service; supporting the removal of completed courses from the table
  • Proactively approach and acknowledge all Guests in a friendly, warm and welcoming manner
  • Clear and reset dirty tables 
  • Work with other server assistants to ensure optimum efficiency
  • Demonstrate superior time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the management team
  • Accountabilities: Must be willing and able to:
  • Be an active team player
  • Follow supervisor?s instructions
  • Perform under more than average stressful conditions
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area throughout shift and leave it ready for the following shift
  • Acquire and wear appropriate uniform as prescribed in the training manual
  • Maintain a clean uniform
  • Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the established image of the restaurant
  • Read and be accountable for the information in the Echo and Rig employee handbook

Qualifications Standards:

  • 1 Year of customer service / food and beverage experience in a fast paced setting

  • Collaborate and contribute to a diverse service team.
  • Communicate effectively 
  • Handle multiple priorities and tasks while under pressure.
