Water Park Technician - Seasonal Job

About the Job
Make a splash behind the scenes! As a Water Park Technician at Oceans of Fun, you'll team up with the Maintenance Foreman to keep pool chemical levels perfectly balanced. Your work helps ensure crystalโ€‘clear water, safe slides, and refreshing fun for every guest-all while keeping things running smoothly day after day.

This is a great summer job for those who enjoy staying active, working outdoors, and starting their day off making our park sparkling.

What You'll Do
  • Operate chemical controller, feeder pumps, sampling pumps.

  • Control the free, total, combined chlorine level and pH using appropriate chemicals.

  • Test pool water and maintain records.

  • Operate and backwash rapid sand filters.

  • Operate water vacuum systems to clean screens.

  • Clean basket strainers on pumps; clean skimmer baskets.

  • Operate water valves to control water flow for filtration and attraction pumps.

  • Follow proper cleaning, safety, and chemical usage procedures
  • Follow protocols for guest illness or bloodโ€‘borne cleanup situations
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment
  • Follow Enchanted Parks' Guestโ€‘First service standards
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
  • Assist with other Park Services tasks as needed

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum age: 18
  • Must have Valid Drivers License to operate company vehicles
  • Ability to Squat, Kneel, Bend, Climb, Stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to use a latter and work at heights up to 70 ft
  • Friendly attitude and strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions such as heat and cold
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment with appropriate training such as gloves, safety glasses and masks
  • Must be able to see to ensure accurate floral planting, pruning that enhances the health and beauty of shrubbery and trees, and mowing when needed.
  • Ability to work with hand tools
  • Ability to work with machinery/equipment
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment
  • Ability to work with chemicals
  • Ability to stay organized and multitask
