Swim Lesson Instructor / Water Safety Instructor

Do you enjoy working with children and adults, love being in the water, and have a passion for helping others learn? Join our aquatics team as a Swim Lesson Instructor/Water Safety Instructor and help participants develop the skills and confidence they need to be safe and successful in and around the water.

Whether you're teaching a child's first swim lesson or helping an adult improve their technique, you'll play an important role in creating a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment.

What You'll Do
  • Teach swim lessons and water safety skills to participants of varying ages and abilities.
  • Create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that encourages learning and confidence.
  • Adapt instruction to meet individual needs and learning styles.
  • Ensure participant safety by following established aquatics policies and procedures.
  • Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and constructive feedback.
  • Track participant progress and celebrate achievements.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and guardians.
  • Maintain a positive and professional presence in and around the pool.

Qualifications
  • Current Swim Lesson Instructor or Water Safety Instructor certification preferred.

  • Prior swim instruction experience preferred but not required, depending on certification level.
Certification Information

We welcome Swim Lesson Instructor and Water Safety Instructor certifications from a variety of accredited organizations. While American Red Cross certifications are preferred, equivalent certifications from other recognized and reputable training providers will be considered.
