The company also does artificial beaches, urban lagoons, wave pools, surf parks, aquatics, sewage treatment, wastewater, and drinking water.

Job Description:
As a Lab Technician in one of our labs or mobile labs, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and improving water quality. You will work closely with your operation team to conduct laboratory tests, analyze data, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This position demands high precision and a commitment to safeguarding public health through excellence in water treatment practices.
Duties:
  • Obtain samples and perform required tests, including PH, SDI, Conductivity, alkalinity, hardness, silica, DO, TSS, and similar tests.
  • Monitor water quality and lab results to manage the process and makes process adjustments in accordance with established policies, and ensure the operational plan is communicated to all shifts.
  • Conduct water quality testing using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, including HACH, HAAS, and microscopes.
  • Sampling and analyzing influents/effluents, source water/product water, feed water, and permeates to detect quality variations, interpreting laboratory results, reading sheets, process tests, computerized data, and information trends to identify flow and water quality variations and make appropriate changes.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Collect and record data from inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and document any defects or non-conformities found during inspections.
  • Collaborate with the operation team to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct periodic audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and recommendations based on laboratory findings.

Skills:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial water/wastewater operations
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience utilizing water lab equipment from microscopes, Hach, Haas, etc lab equipment and understanding lab testing procedures.
  • Lab Technician trained with relevant regulatory certificates from EPA, TCEQ, and others. (Required)
  • Working with IX, UF, RO, Brine Concentrator, Crystallizers, boilers, centrifuges, heat exchangers, and chemical systems
  • Procedures, materials, tools, equipment, and safety practices associated with the operations of a Drinking Water facility;
  • Safety practices in the operation of electrical and mechanical equipment used in water/wastewater, industrial and power plant facilities, and OSHA guidelines related to large treatment facilities
  • Perform accurate arithmetic computations, standardized wastewater laboratory analyses, and read and interpret meters, charts, gauges, and recording devices.
  • Experience with advanced computerized systems, such as those utilized in water and wastewater treatment facilities, is preferred.
  • Complete OSHA/safety training as required
  • Local travel will be required.
