Overview
Syntelligent Analytic Solutions, LLC provides uniquely qualified personnel with the expertise and tools needed to fulfill our customers' management and technical requirements in the intelligence, defense, homeland security and commercial market space.

Syntelligent is seeking a full-time Watch Analyst to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This is a pipeline position for future needs/openings
Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts
Anticipated Salary Range: $68,000-72,000
Duties will include:
  • As a part of the Watch team, providing continuous operational situational awareness on special events, incidents, and crises affecting national level PH&M security by coordinating communications and analysis.
  • Assisting in developing and preparing alerts, notifications, reports, and other senior leadership products as required.
  • Ensuring Public Health and Medical (PH&M) threat and incident information is properly acquired, displayed, shared and archived.
  • Receiving, tracking, and coordinating requests for information (RFIs) and requests for resources (RFRs) that require HHS/SOC action.
  • Utilizing and updating HHS Alert/Warning/Notification systems, to include International Health (IHR) and Public Health Emergencies of International Concern (PHEIC).
  • Responsible for tracking of PH&M response activities, and maintaining knowledge of systems developed to support such activity tracking.
  • Providing updates and information to HHS key leadership personnel, preparing correspondence and briefings summarizing significant events, researching subjects as necessary.
  • Responsible for maintaining high level of readiness in preparation for SOC to successfully transition, either COOP or devolution, when necessary, into incident management operations.
  • Supporting activities during periods of Continuity of Operations exercises, including potentially temporarily relocating to another site in the area for emergency or test scenarios.
  • Participating in exercises directed by HHS and other government agencies.
  • Operating and moderating traditional telephone and video teleconferencing systems.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and logging any loss in communications capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience of Open-Source Intelligence Analysis
  • Ability to process multiple actions in a timely manner under stressful circumstances.

  • Advanced user skills of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
  • Basic user skills of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft SharePoint, and ArcGIS skills
  • Superior time management skills
  • Possess a Bachelors Degree
  • Possess a Valid Driver's License

Security Requirements
  • Secret Clearance

Special Qualifications and Certifications
  • It is highly desired to have personnel with at least three or more of following special qualifications and/or certifications.
  • Military Veterans honorably discharged, retired, or actively serving National Guard or/ Reserve from the following Occupational fields; Intelligence, Infantry, Engineering, Operations, Radio, Military Police/Security Forces, Command and Control, Medical, Weather, CBRNE or Emergency Management.
  • Emergency Management experience at a Federal, State, Local, Tribal, or Territorial level.
  • 2-5 years Open-Source Intelligence Analysis experience
  • 2-5 years' experience working in one of the following a Federal, State, Local, Tribal or
  • Territorial Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), Department of Defense Tactical Operations Center (TOC), Combat Information Center (CIC), Command Post (CP), Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC), or higher-level Operations Center.
  • Certified Security+, Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), Open-Source Intelligence (COSINT), All-Source Intelligence Professional (CASIP), or Intelligence Fundamentals
  • Professional Certification (IFPC)
  • Certified Emergency Managers (CEM), Associate Emergency Manager (AEM), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), FEMA Level I Professional Continuity Practitioners, National Registered Paramedics (NREMT-P), Certified Emergency
  • Number Professional (ENP), or Certified Emergency Telecommunicator (ETC).
  • Possessing an associate degree or bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College in a related field
