Job description

Overview

Peraton is seeking a mid-level Watch Analyst to maintain situational awareness of incidents and threats, and support information sharing across local, state, and national level customers. The analyst will be part of a small, on-site team working to identify events of interest and prepare written products for a variety of stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience supporting intelligence and/or law enforcement watch operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment under supervision.

Required Qualifications
  • Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph;
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, 4 years of additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree;
  • Must be able and willing to work in a 24x7x365 rotating shift environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to maintain a positive, collaborative attitude in high-stress environments;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to resolve issues with support from leadership
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting national-level customers;
  • Experience working in the customer’s operational environment
Responsibilities
  • Providing continuous monitoring, knowledge management, communications, and reporting support to 24x7x365 watch operations;
  • Monitoring a variety of data sources and highlighting items of interest;
  • Drafting daily and event-driven situational awareness reports;
  • Actively and meaningfully participating in shift turnover activities to support shift transition;
  • Maintaining quality standards as directed by the program leadership team and supporting the implementation of corrective actions as needed;
  • Maintaining flexibility to provide related services as needed by the customer, such as support to continuity of operations activities
