Project Engineer - Water / Wastewater

We are seeking a talented and motivated Water/Wastewater Design Engineer to join our consulting team. The ideal candidate has 2 to 10 years of experience delivering planning and design solutions for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to support meaningful projects, collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and help shape critical community infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pump stations, storage systems, pipelines, and related utility improvements.
  • Prepare or oversee engineering reports, technical specifications, construction drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Manage projects through design and provide support during bidding and construction phases.
  • Support design oversight and quality control for project deliverables.
  • Support permitting and regulatory compliance for municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Participate in client meetings, proposal development, and business development efforts.
  • Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-10 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering design, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Strong experience with municipal water and wastewater systems design.
  • Proven ability to prepare plans, specifications, engineering reports, and design calculations.
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively.
