Diesel Mechanic 
Automation Blue Marine Staffing is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for a company based in St. Rose LA
In this role you will diagnose, repair, maintain, and service diesel-powered barge engines and related equipment. The position supports both shop and field operations and requires working safely in a marine environment

Compensation
$25-$40 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:30am

Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
 Troubleshoot and diagnose diesel engine problems on barges and related equipment. 
 Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services on diesel engines and components. 
 Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble engine packages in the shop. 
 Utilize power tools, hand tools, and testing equipment to complete repairs and maintenance. 
 Respond to on-call service requests as needed. 
 Travel occasionally to support operations at other company locations. 
 Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and marine industry regulations. 
 Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation. 
 Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
 
Diesel Mechanic Qualifications and Requirements
 Minimum of 2 years of diesel engine repair and maintenance experience. 
 Experience with marine diesel engines is preferred but not required. 
 Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. 
 Valid driver's license required. 
 Ability to successfully pass a background check.
