About the Role: Pret AManger is looking for a passionate and skilled Barista to join our team. You'llbe the heart of our coffee experience, crafting consistently excellent drinks,creating genuine moments of connection with guests, and bringing the energy andwarmth that defines Pret Buzz. This is more than a barista role: you'll be acoach and standard-setter for your team, helping train and develop fellow teammembers on Pret's Barista Prepared Drinks program. Key Responsibilities:
RightPret People: Barista Prepared Drinks Training

To coach and train Team Member Star andBaristas-in-training on Barista Prepared Drinks and standards

Deliver drinks within the 60-second servicestandard, communicating proactively when delays occur

To liaise with management to ensure to ensureall Barista Prepared Drinks training is planned and carried out as appropriate

To carry out coffee team briefs and attend anyrelevant meetings and courses relating to Barista Prepared Drinks whenappropriate

To ensure all hot drinks training material isavailable and up to date

To follow Pret's dress code and be immaculatelypresented, wearing the correct uniform at all times

Amazing Service: Creating Pret Buzz

To positively engage with guests and the team witheye contact and a smile

To manage the waste levels of Barista PreparedDrinks ingredients

To action any issues relating to stockvariances and waste for Barista Prepared Drinks as required by your Manager

Support with keeping shelves restocked and looking picture perfect throughout the day

Growing Sales: Maximizing Barista PreparedDrinks sales

To have a weekly sales target and share thiswith the team

To know your shop Barista Prepared Drinks salesversus total sales and the mix

To recognize regular customers with appropriatevolume of drinks via Joy of Pret

Required Experience:

Barista: 1 year (Required)

Proficiency in espresso based drinks

A team-oriented approach, you respect andsupport the restaurant's success

Excellentcommunication skills

Reliability and punctuality

NYC Food Handlers Card (Preferred)

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods;lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds; bend, reach overhead,squat, kneel, and go up and down stairs as needed; safely maneuver throughtight or compact spaces; operate restaurant equipment and handle tools such astongs, pots, and pans with dexterity; work in environments ranging from hot tocold, including near open flames and occasional outdoor conditions; maintainclose, distance, and peripheral vision; communicate continuously with teammembers; and work in a constant state of alertness while maintaining safeoperations
