Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting daily warehouse operations and ensuring orders are received, prepared, and shipped accurately and efficiently. In this position you will support the warehouse operations by receiving and checking wine for shipments, fulfilling orders, building packaging boxes, palletizing incoming/outgoing orders and accurately filling out paperwork to complete orders and storing/organizing inventory. You will also assist the front of warehouse operations and help customers who come in to drop off orders for shipping and work the register when needed. The ideal candidate is a motivated and great at multi-tasking who is willing to assist with multiple jobs when needed.

Responsibilities 
  • Accurately and efficiently pick, check, and pack all incoming orders to be shipped
  • Greet and assist customers who come in to drop off orders for shipping 
  • Help customers load and unload wine for packing orders
  • Accurately read and decipher shipping forms, invoices, bill-of-ladings, and packing slips to ensure the correct amount of products have been picked-up and/or received
  • Build and prepare packaging boxes and shipping materials as well as check incoming packaging orders from vendors
  • Palletize and/or stack incoming and outgoing orders
  • Assist carrier drivers with loading trucks
  • Operate the register and process customer transactions when needed 
  • Light housekeeping in warehouse
  • Inspect incoming shipments for any damages or errors 
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines
  • Assist with other warehouse and operational duties as needed
  •  Perform daily wine pickups from wineries and safely transport incoming orders to the warehouse 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Hold a California drivers license
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse setting is preferred
  • Ability to use warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and hand trucks
  • Capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and in a team setting
  • Must be able to listen and follow written and oral instructions
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Must be able to perform basic math and communication skill
  • Pay attention to close detail and keep your work area clean
  • Ability to multitask with accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Shipping experience preferred, but not required
This job will require a lot of lifting, bending, walking, and may require for you to stand for long periods of time. This job will mostly be performed inside a temperature-controlled warehouse.
