Job description

The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading warehousing and logistics organization to hire an experienced Warehouse Manager for its Chicago, IL location.

In this role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, lead warehouse staff, manage inventory, coordinate shipping and receiving, maintain safety and compliance, and deliver exceptional service for clients handling high-value items.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff
  • Delegate tasks, conduct performance evaluations, and support team development
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, packing, and storage operations
  • Maintain warehouse organization and optimize space utilization
  • Ensure accurate inventory records and shipping documentation (logs, BOLs, work orders, etc.)
  • Manage digital inventory systems and facility inspections
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and supply ordering
  • Support collection management services and client projects
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries
  • Prepare shipping quotes and coordinate project logistics with internal teams
  • Lead warehouse safety, security, and compliance initiatives
  • Oversee facility security systems and safety programs
  • Support operational planning, budgeting, and workflow improvements
  • Perform administrative duties as needed

What We Are Looking For

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
  • Experience in inventory management, moving, storage, or art handling preferred
  • Experience handling and packing fragile, high-value items
