Atlanta Warehouse and Shipping Manager is to be responsible for overseeing operations at a warehouse to ensure all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment being hands on in all aspects of a warehouse. 


Job Responsibilities

Lead a team (likely 1-2 office staff and supervisors, and team of 8-10 warehouse associates) to receive and store inventory, and fulfill customer orders, primarily on LTL shipments

Promote a positive work environment based on team dynamics, mutual respect, and adherence to the organization's stated principles and values

Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse

Drive compliance with warehouse, inventory, and transportation management system software programs

Collaborate with executive management to set warehouse and team goals to increase the profitability of operations

Load and unload trucks with products or material

Compliant with all OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001 and other pertinent standards/regulations

Responsible for the supervision and execution of overall facility operations, i.e. productivity, quality control, inventory, reporting, etc.  

Forecast hiring needs and maintain a pipeline of candidates

Train new employees on how to use machinery

Develop and maintain working knowledge of all core warehouse functions

Other duties as assigned

Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening

Multi-lingual communication skills a plus

Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities

In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse

Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices and logistics

Comfortable using inventory management software and organizational computer applications and computer literacy in spreadsheets     

Physical strength, stamina and the ability to walk or stand, crouch, reach, stretch, and kneel for long periods of time

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
