Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

This role supports a busy distribution facility that manufactures automotive parts by performing a blend of shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties on the 2nd shift. You will handle incoming and outgoing inventory, use RF scanners and rolling stairs to pick orders, and help ensure that materials are accurately processed and prepared for shipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials and restock inventory, dispatch, and overstock locations accurately and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate warehouse equipment and safe lifting techniques.
  • Break down boxes and package items securely for shipment according to company standards.
  • Use rolling stairs, order pickers, and RF scanners to locate, pick, and process orders for the automotive industry.
  • Pick orders from various heights using rolling safety ladders ranging from approximately 7 to 15 steps.
  • Prepare and label outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Assist warehouse supervisors as needed with general warehouse operations and special projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by disposing of cardboard, packaging materials, and debris appropriately.
  • Follow all safety procedures when working around equipment, stairs, and moving machinery.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity and accuracy expectations while working both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
  • Comfort working on rolling safety ladders with approximately 5–7 steps and occasional use of taller ladders up to about 15 feet for shipping tasks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or squat as required by warehouse tasks.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English to follow instructions, complete documentation, and use RF scanners effectively.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining productivity under mandatory overtime conditions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work individually with minimal supervision while also collaborating with team members.
  • Experience with general labor and warehouse tasks such as loading, unloading, picking, packing, and cleaning.
  • Ability to use RF scanners for order picking and inventory processes.
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM), Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays.

  • Experience with pallet jacks for moving materials within the warehouse.

Pay and Benefits
