Job description

Position: Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Oakdale, CA

Pay Rate: $30.00 /hourly

Shift: Sun - Thurs | 10:00PM -6:30AM

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations within a temperature-controlled environment, ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate handling of all inbound and outbound products. This role is responsible for managing warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with all safety and food handling standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily cold storage operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide training, coaching, and feedback to ensure productivity and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee regular cycle counts.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
  • Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to manage delivery schedules and priorities.
  • Oversee operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain proper temperature levels within all cold storage zones.
  • Investigate and resolve any inventory or operational discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on productivity, attendance, and performance metrics.
  • Enforce company policies and safety regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and audits.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of warehouse including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role. Cold storage experience is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments (temperatures ranging from -10°F to 40°F).
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and working in cold environments.
  • Ability to wear appropriate cold gear and PPE.
