As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the Delivery Team to provide the highest levels of accuracy, efficiency and customer service. This position will monitor performance and improve personnel, systems and procedures. The Delivery Team plays an important role in First Supply’s success.   • Supervise all designated delivery staff
  • Route sales orders to accommodate efficiency and customer requests
  • Ensure that all orders are loaded and secured for efficient, timely delivery processes
  • Ensure that orders are checked for content and labeling and note any discrepancies
  • Oversee ship verification process to assure that product on the dock is confirmed
  • Ensure that all picks are completed, labeled and loaded accurately
  • Monitor staff productivity to ensure that trucks are loaded, and deliveries are made in a timely manner
  • Ensure that systems and procedures are implemented and communicated to staff in a timely manner and are followed consistently
  • Provide performance plans and feedback for assigned staff to Warehouse Manager
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in the annual review process for assigned staff timely
  • Monitor attendance of staff and address issues of concern appropriately and per company policy
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in the hiring, developing and performance improvement of assigned staff
  • Communicate issues to other shift supervisors when pertinent to efficiencies of operations
  • Monitor safe and accurate loading or unloading of trucks
  • Assist in the training of staff on any appropriate equipment used
  • Ensure the work area is clean and safe
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant and/or Warehouse Manager

  • Previous driving experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain requirement as a backup Delivery Driver (valid medical card, clean driving record and at least 21 years of age)
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Knowledge of freight companies and prior experience scheduling (preferred)
  • Knowledge or experience with plumbing and heating supplies (preferred)
  • Forklift experience (preferred)
  • Functional capacities evaluation which demonstrates ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position
