SCOPE:

The Shipping Associate will be responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation, documentation, and coordination of outgoing shipments.  They ensure that all products are picked, packed, labeled, and shipped in accordance with company standards and customer requirements, maintaining a high level of accuracy to support our production and logistics goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Pick, pull, and pack customer orders for shipment
  • Pull parts from inventory based on customer orders
  • Review technical prints to verify part specifications before processing for shipment
  • Photograph items prior to packaging to ensure quality control and documentation standards
  • Ensure orders are safely packed to prevent damage during transit
  • Accurately enter shipment data and generate labels using shipping software systems such as UPS, DataWorks, and other logistics platforms
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by verifying quantities during the picking and packing process
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and practices.
  • Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and increase efficiency

QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION:

     Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical prints, work instructions, manuals, and other written correspondence
  • Experience with basic hand tools (saws, hammers, drills, etc.)
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and inventory management software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, delivering thoughts and ideas clearly both written and verbally
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks (e.g. forklifts)
