Yard Dog
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour or more based on experience!
Schedule: MondayFriday, First Shift
Location: Rome, GA
We are seeking an experienced Yard Dog to join our warehouse and yard operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a yard truck/spotter and moving trailers safely and efficiently throughout the facility. This position requires strong attention to safety, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Safely operate a yard truck/yard dog to move and position trailers throughout the facility
- Spot trailers at designated loading and unloading docks
- Move trailers between the yard, docks, and designated parking areas
- Connect and disconnect trailers safely
- Perform trailer and equipment inspections before operation
- Communicate with warehouse and shipping/receiving teams regarding trailer movements
- Maintain accurate trailer locations and yard organization
- Follow all yard traffic rules and safety procedures
- Keep the yard organized and free of hazards
- Assist with loading, unloading, and other warehouse duties as needed
- Perform other yard and material-handling duties as assigned
- Previous yard truck/yard dog or trailer spotting experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Clean MVR required
