Job Summary:


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Pull products and skid products to prepare for shipments based on scheduled requirements. 
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or record keeping purposes.
  • Prepare documents, such as ASNs, bills of lading, or shipping orders, for materials.
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.
  • Determine shipping methods based on customer requirements. 
  • Contact carrier representatives as necessary to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or any other required data. 
  • Receive incoming shipments following internal processes and procedures.
  • Deliver materials to departments using pallet jack, hand truck, etc. as required.
  • Serve as the backup commercial vehicle and light-duty van delivery driver when needed
  • Comply with all policies as a commercial vehicle driver, including Department of Transportation requirements
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor


Education and Experience:

  • High School graduate or G.E.D. and/or equivalent work experience desired. 
  • Must be able to take direction from supervisors.  
  • Must be reliable to come to work and have a reliable form of transportation.
