Job description

Position Summary:
The Superior Grocers Warehouse Order Selectors are responsible for accurately selecting orders and staging for store delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Selects orders as directed through our voice selection system or by our paper selection process.
  • Delivers orders once selected to the proper loading dock door assigned.
  • Confirms that store number selected is the same as being loaded into the trailer in the dock door assigned.
  • If selected pallet is full, the order selector will load it directly into the trailer, if not the pallet staged on the dock.
  • Selector is responsible for taking all breaks and lunches as directed to do so and consistent with proper timekeeping requirements.

  • Follow directions as given by our voice selection system and providing responses clearly and accurately back to the system.
  • Select and stack cases/product in a manner which will allow for it to travel safely to our stores.
  • Select and stack repeatedly throughout the shift cases/product up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques.

  • Selection is done on either an electric pallet jack or a forklift depending on the department and type of selection being done. Selectors will be trained and must pass their training to be certified on the equipment they will be using.

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
