Job description

  • Warehouse Attendant $19.15-$20.90/HR based on experience)
    The Warehouse Attendant plays a critical role in supporting daily warehouse operations within a temperature-controlled environment. This position is responsible for safely operating reach trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move, store, retrieve, and stage frozen products. The role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to cold chain and food safety standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.

    Essential Tasks and Responsibilities  
    1. Material Handling & Equipment Operation  
    • Safely operate reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks.  
    • Move pallets to and from racks up to high reach elevations.  
    • Perform put away, replenishment, case picking, pallet building, and staging activities.  
    • Follow FEFO rotation and maintain proper stock placement within assigned zones.  
    2. Accuracy, Quality & Documentation  
    • Ensure accurate scanning, labeling, and documentation for all product movement.  
    • Verify pallet counts, product codes, and temperature requirements.  
    • Report damaged product, mis-picks, or inventory discrepancies immediately.  
    • Support loading and unloading activities as needed.  
    3. Safety, Compliance & Cold Chain Integrity  
    • Follow all OSHA, food safety, cold storage, and equipment operation guidelines.  
    • Conduct and document pre‑shift equipment inspections.  
    • Maintain safe travel speeds, clear visibility, and proper load securement.  
    • Wear required PPE and operate safely in subzero temperatures.  
    4. Warehouse Organization & Support  
    • Maintain clean aisles, dock areas, and racking zones.  
    • Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and slotting adjustments.  
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and team members.  
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency efforts.  
       
       Qualifications  
    • 1–2+ years of reach truck or forklift operating experience (warehouse preferred).  
    • Current forklift certification  
    • Experience in frozen or cold storage environments is strongly preferred.  
    • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 0°F to –20°F.  
    • Proficiency with RF scanners and WMS systems.  
    • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and consistency.  
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work at heights in racking systems.
