Job description

Job SummarySupports Warehouse Management Operations to ensure the effective and efficient preparation of materials required to support production and packaging. Assists Warehouse Supervision with the organization and direction of the Warehouse operations on a day-to-day basis. Plans shift workload for Warehouse Operators and delegates tasks as needed. Coordinates warehouse activities under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and trains warehouse personnel to ensure a well-coordinated component staging operation ensuring that all SAP transactions performed on shift are complete and accurate. Reports any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor in a timely fashion.
Hourly Range: $18.79- $26.36
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE INCUMBENT

  • Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of all tasks performed by Warehouse Operators I, II, and III.
  • Supports the receiving area with unloading and loading trucks in the dock area
  • Perform receiving of raw materials (API, Excipients, Packaging, Operating supplies/materials), as assigned, within SAP P55 and P83/EWM systems.
  • Repalletizes, wrap, label, stores raw material (API, Excipients, Packaging, Operating supplies/materials) from receiving area to warehouse storage location
  • Performs and ensures required material movements are properly placed in the rack and scanned using P83/EWM module of the SAP system
  • Ensure proper HU label has been placed on the pallet before/after each movement of pallet to/from location in the rack and within P83/EWM module of the SAP system
  • Manages daily inbound/outbound shipments of material to/from offsite storage
  • Manages daily shipments of finished product to Distribution Centers
  • Responsible for the proper handling and reconciliation of controlled substances associated with the preparation and delivery/staging of raw materials used in production as well as processing returns from production such as WIP and finished products. This includes compliance with documentation and accountability procedures.
  • Pick orders of material originating from the production, packaging, and formulation departments for use in production batches
  • Move, wrap, label, and store pallets of semi-finished product from production areas for further processing by inspection and packaging
  • Move, wrap, label, and store pallets of finished product from packaging areas for shipment
  • Move uninspected semi-finished product to inspection staging bays as requested by packaging personnel or inspection schedule

  • Pick non-process orders, sample requests, and central stores orders
  • Sort and wrap trash, debris, and recyclable material from various areas of the facility, to ensure ease of transport and collection
  • Ship small packages, LTL shipments via FedEx and other carriers
  • Process returns from production/packaging/formulation
  • Transport properly waste, components, semi-finished product, finished product, etc. to and from various buildings on site as needed
  • Assists personnel from warehouse and other departments by transporting supplies and equipment to and from various locations within the hygiene-zone
  • Maintain working area cleanliness
  • Escalate immediately any issues impacting job function
  • Ensure following procedures and cGMP including but not limited to assigned logbooks
  • Support, as needed, cycle counts and recounts
  • Problem solving and investigations support
  • Assists with all tasks as required to meet deadlines.
  • Plans workload and assignments for all members of shift assigned. Delegates tasks appropriately to ensure all work is completed.
  • Communicates with oncoming shift's group leader regarding pending tasks/ongoing projects.
  • Maintains contact throughout shift with group leaders and supervisors from Production, Packaging, and Formulation to ensure that information conveyed to shift-mates is accurate and up to date.
  • Utilizes the SAP operating system (both P55 and P83) to ensure that only approved material is used to supply materials to production/packaging to the appropriate staging area on time, accurately and according to the requirements of the Warehouse Order. Completes all necessary SAP EWM transactions.
  • Assists Warehouse Operators with SAP system needs.
  • Supports movement of materials between buildings to ensure adequate stock is available when needed.
  • Ensures compliance of proper handling and reconciliation of controlled substances associated with the preparation and delivery/staging of raw materials used in production as well as processing returns from production such as WIP and finished products. This includes compliance with documentation and accountability procedures.
  • Utilize various forms of powered and non-powered industrial equipment
  • Teaches and trains new and existing Warehouse Operators.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works overtime as required to complete assigned duties.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 4+ years of warehouse experience required; including receiving experience, experience with powered industrial equipment, and SAP (or similar Warehouse Management system) experience.
  • Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Leadership skills required.
  • Good communication skills required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations with the use of a calculator is required.
