Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Setup Project Manager to lead new warehouse projects across North America.
This role focuses on setting up warehouses from the ground up, including site assessment, layout planning, facility fit-out, equipment installation, system implementation, process development, team training, trial operations, and final handover. Frequent and extended on-site travel is required.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage new warehouse projects from planning through launch and handover.
  • Conduct site assessments and develop warehouse layouts based on capacity, product type, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate facility fit-out, racking, equipment, utilities, safety systems, and IT infrastructure.
  • Implement WMS, OMS, barcode, labeling, and shipping systems.
  • Develop SOPs for receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and returns.
  • Coordinate contractors, equipment suppliers, service providers, and internal teams.
  • Support initial team recruitment and provide system, process, and safety training.
  • Lead trial operations, resolve launch-stage issues, and hand over the stabilized warehouse to the local operations team.
  • Control project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and operational risks.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in warehousing, cross-border logistics, fulfillment, or supply-chain operations.
  • At least three years of project-management or team-leadership experience.
  • Proven experience setting up and launching a warehouse from the ground up.
  • Experience with site assessment, warehouse layout, facility setup, equipment installation, and WMS implementation.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety and compliance requirements in North America.
  • Experience with oversized or bulky-product warehouses is preferred.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and vendor-management skills.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally for extended periods.
Important

This is a project-based role rather than a permanent warehouse operations position. The Project Manager will remain on site during warehouse setup and launch, complete the handover, and then move to the next project location.
