Job description

The Role

Lead protein processing, warehouse operations, and distribution at our Baltimore facility. Supervise production team, optimize yields, manage inventory controls, and ensure quality from receiving through delivery.

What You'll Do

Production Management

- Supervise cutting, fabrication, and packaging of beef, pork, and specialty proteins

- Maximize yield percentages and minimize waste across all products

- Monitor quality standards, trimming specs, and portion accuracy

- Track by-products (bones, trim, fat) for revenue optimization

- Manage production schedules for on-time fulfillment

Warehouse & Distribution

- Oversee receiving, inspection, and cold storage of raw materials

- Coordinate order picking, staging, and loading dock operations

- Enforce FIFO rotation and maintain organized warehouse zones

- Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory

- Verify order accuracy and coordinate driver departures

Systems & Accountability

- Learn and operate ERP systems for production and inventory tracking

- Maintain records in Excel/Google Sheets for yields, waste, and output

- Support barcode scanning for receiving, production, and shipping

- Generate daily reports on metrics, inventory, and fulfillment

- Document lot codes, temperature logs, and compliance records

Team Leadership

- Supervise 10-15 staff across production, warehouse, and distribution

- Communicate in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)

- Conduct performance reviews and skills training

- Assign tasks and cross-train for flexibility

Compliance & Quality

- Implement HACCP protocols and maintain USDA compliance

- Monitor temperature controls and cold chain management
