Job description

Warehouse Associate

Hunton Distribution, a division of Hunton Group in Houston, TX, has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our organization as a Warehouse Associate in College Station, TX. The selected candidate will be responsible for the coordination of the warehouse and store's on-site activities, including managing receipts, stocking and shipping of products, staging and delivering customer orders, and all purchasing transactions with Trane and local vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Staging, shipping, and receiving parts, equipment, and supplies - HVAC.
  • Stock the parts store with an appropriate amount of merchandise.
  • Assist with inventory control and entering inventory into the software system.
  • Deliver parts, supplies, equipment, and other HVAC-related products to customer locations or job sites, as needed.
  • File M/S's, freight bills of lading, and equipment packing slips for inventory reconciliation and audit purposes.
  • File freight claims for damaged goods.
  • Manage receipt, inspection, and stocking products.
  • Determine inventory levels; identify and dispose of excess and obsolete inventory and maintain system inventory accuracy.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications

Skills Required:

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must complete an MVR.
  • Must have good interpersonal and phone skills to communicate and assist inside sales personnel and customers.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Pull and put away equipment on pallets or boxes using a forklift.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years of proven forklift experience.
  • 1+ years of experience driving a 20' box truck with liftgate.
