Crown Staffing is looking for Warehouse Associates in the Jackson, Michigan area.
Warehouse Associate Job Details
Schedule: 6pm-6am 12 hour rotating shifts 2-2-3 Schedule
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Location: Jackson, MI
Warehouse Associate Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Work within established company policies and shipping procedures.
  • Safely operate shipping equipment and make decisions to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Identify and resolve routine safety concerns and operational issues; refer deviations from standard procedures to the Shipping Team Leader.
  • Safely lift and move materials weighing up to 60 pounds without assistance from equipment or coworkers.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently push, pull, lift, and move materials and supplies.
  • Perform frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing of ladders or stairs.
  • Work in a vinyl siding manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and chemical odors.
  • Possess or obtain certification to operate a forklift and other powered industrial equipment as required.
  • Be available to work shifts of 8 hours or longer, including overtime as needed.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Wear steel-toe shoes.
  • Do not wear hoodies, loose jewelry, rings, or watches during the plant tour
About the Warehouse Associate Role
As a Warehouse Associate, your responsibilities will include:
  • Gather, scan, and prepare warehouse products for shipment.
  • Load finished products onto carrier trucks while ensuring safe and accurate loading practices.
  • Supply production lines with corrugated boxes and other required materials.
  • Remove finished products from production lines and transport them to warehouse storage.
  • Remove scrap pallets (skids) from the production area.
  • Unload inbound shipments, including chemicals, equipment, and interplant materials, and deliver them to designated storage locations.
  • Ensure trailers are loaded according to specifications with proper weight distribution.
  • Pick orders for shipment by gathering full pallets, verifying loads against packing sheets, and loading trucks.
  • Scan and store finished pallets in warehouse rack locations.
  • Organize inventory, maintain warehouse shelving, perform daily cycle counts, and replenish partial-pick inventory.
  • Operate pallet wrapping equipment safely and efficiently while prioritizing pallets by production requirements.
  • Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized warehouse and shipping area.
  • Dock trailers for loading using an Ottawa yard truck.
  • Coordinate shipping equipment and truck repairs when needed.
  • Train new warehouse associates on warehouse procedures and safety practices.
  • Complete additional projects and duties as assigned by management.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Verify inbound shipments against packing slips and shipping documentation.
  • Process and ship small packages using the UPS shipping system.
  • Enter inventory and material transactions into the SAP system as needed.
