JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our team and help turn generosity into positive change. As a Donations Ambassador, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes donors, receives donated items, and creates an outstanding donor experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to begin a fulfilling career in the non-profit world while helping to support our mission.


Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Greet customers and donors in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner
  • Maintain full compliance with all applicable DOT, DMV and FMCSA regulations pertaining to operation of commercial motor vehicles
  • Possess a current, valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class D), with the experience and skills necessary to drive, maneuver and safely operate any 16’ to 26’ straight truck
  • Ensure all donations of merchandise are picked up as per established schedules
  • Ensure general housekeeping and safety in the warehouse
  • Ensure the front of the store is kept in a safe, neat, and organized manner
  • Evaluate acceptable items for donation, according to organization’s standards
  • Maintain strict adherence to the organization’s policy regarding a safe driving record at all times
  • Represent Habitat for Humanity as a positive and professional ambassador at all times
  • Maintain excellent customer service and teamwork skills
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
