If you've worked in warehouse associate jobs, warehouse worker roles, or distribution center environments, you understand how important every step of the process is.This Warehouse Specialist role supports three key areas of our operation: shipping, general warehouse, and returns processing. Each area plays a critical role in making sure safety footwear gets to customers and internal locations accurately and on time.This facility operates in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Just good people working together to solve problems and support our customers.What You'll DoShipping DepartmentPick shoes for customer orders (order picking / pick pack ship)Process shipments systematically through the warehouse management system (WMS)Pack and prepare orders for outbound shipment (packing and shipping / outbound logistics)Ensure order fulfillment accuracy and quality control before shippingWork within scheduled shifts (currently Wednesday–Sunday, 9am until completion; subject to change)General WarehouseReceive incoming shipments and stock inventory (receiving clerk / inbound logistics)Put away product and maintain accurate inventory locationsSupport inventory pulls for Mobile Shoe Store restocks and internal distribution needsMaintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse aislesAssist with inventory control, stock replenishment, and cycle countsWork scheduled shifts (currently Friday–Tuesday, 9am until completion; subject to change)Returns DepartmentReceive returned safety footwear from customersInspect, verify and process returned products through our systemClean and re-box footwear according to quality standardsEnsure inventory accuracy during returns processingWork scheduled shifts (Monday–Friday, 9am until completion)What We're Looking ForExperience in warehouse jobs, warehouse worker roles, warehouse specialist or material handler positionsAbility to perform order fulfillment, shipping and receiving and inventory control tasksComfortable working in a fast-paced distribution center or fulfillment center environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy and quality controlAbility to work in a non-temperature-controlled environmentWillingness to learn warehouse systems and processes (WMS experience a plus)Reliable, team-oriented and able to work independently when neededPreferred QualificationsExperience with order picker, pick pack ship or warehouse operationsFamiliarity with loading dock operations, inbound logistics or outbound logisticsExperience with cycle counts, stock replenishment or inventory control systemsPrevious work in returns processing or reverse logistics environmentsExperience using warehouse management systems (WMS)ScheduleFull-time positionMultiple shift structures depending on department assignmentWeekend availability required depending on roleShifts run 9am until work is completedSchedules are subject to change; confirmation provided prior to interviewCompensation & BenefitsCompany-paid dental, vision, long-term disability, short-term disability, and life insurance beginning the first of the month after 60 daysMulti-tiered medical insurance plans to choose from (benefits valued at over $10,000 annually)8 paid holidays per yearPTO available after 90 days (starting at 3.08 hours per pay period, approximately 1.5 weeks annually), with opportunities to earn additional PTO based on tenure401(k) plan with 50% employer match on first 6% of employee base pay About Saf-GardWe've been in the safety footwear business for more than 40 years.
