Description
Job Title: Warehouse Specialist I
Department: Kimray Sales and Service
FLSA Class: Non-Exempt
Pay Type: Hourly
Job Summary: Ensures daily functions and procedures of warehouse, distribution and shipping run smoothly and efficiently.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for moving, stocking, receiving, and packing warehouse merchandise.
  • Assists in inventory counts.
  • Operates warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks.
  • Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
  • Responsible for general cleanliness of the warehouse.
  • Ensures paperwork is properly filed.
  • Performs work under direct supervision.
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member
  • Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 0-3 years Warehouse experience required.
  • Must have basic computer and technological skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time and prioritize projects.
  • Ability to operate Scales, Computers, Hoists, Printers, Scissor lifts, Hand trucks, Wrap machines, Forklift and Pallet Jack
  • Must have proficient computer and technological skills (NetSuite and RF-Smart)
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Capable of effectively presenting information to internal and external groups
  • Must have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Work Environment:
  • Office/Warehouse - PPE required in specific areas
  • Potential proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical currents, oils and chemicals
  • Potential exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
  • Extreme temperatures for more than an hour possible
  • Consistently elevated noise levels in work area

Physical Requirements:
  • Continuous walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs.
