Warehouse Manager
We are a well-established manufacturing company located in the Hudson Valley, NY, seeking a qualified professional to join our growing team. The company name will be shared with candidates as they move through the hiring processs
Compensation: $65,000-$85,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and qualifications
Responsibilities
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the Warehouse team, managing inventory, and the day to day operations of the Warehouse.
Essential duties include:
• Oversees team of inventory or warehouse employees.
• Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, picking, shipments and stock levels.
• Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
• Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
• Manages schedules of employees, deliveries and shipments to optimize operations.
• Communicates with inventory employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
• Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
• Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
• Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
• Manage Picking process to ensure smooth production flow
• Manages the recruitment and training of new inventory employees.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Experience Requirements:
• 5-10 years of experience managing inventory/warehouse
• Previous supervisory responsibilities required
• Ability to utilize power equipment as per licensing requirements
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Ability to use ladders and step stools safely
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Supervisory Responsibilities: Warehouse Team
Physical Demands:
• Required to stand, walk, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
• Required to use hands to handle objects.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate forklift, pallet jacks, wave machine
• Specific vision requirements include close vision.
Personal Protective Equipment:
• Includes safety glasses and additional protection as required by law.
Work Environment:
• Will be exposed to a noisy environment routinely.
