Essential Functions & Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, putaway, inventory storage, picking, packing, staging, shipping, transfers, returns, and deliveries.
  • Manage, coach, train, and develop warehouse employees while establishing clear expectations for productivity, accuracy, attendance, safety, organization, and accountability.
  • Plan and assign daily workload based on order priorities, customer requirements, staffing, inventory availability, incoming shipments, and business needs.
  • Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, staged, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure physical inventory movement is properly reflected in NetSuite.
  • Establish and maintain effective cyclecounting, inventory reconciliation, and inventoryadjustment procedures.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes and corrective actions to improve longterm inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure incoming products are received accurately and promptly, including verification of quantities, product identification, condition, purchase order information, and required documentation.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse layout, including appropriate bin locations, product identification, staging areas, aisles, receiving areas, and shipping areas.
  • Establish standardized processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key warehouse activities and ensure consistent adherence across the department.
  • Monitor open orders and proactively identify inventory, fulfillment, or warehouserelated issues that could delay customer shipments.
  • Coordinate the appropriate handling of standard, expedited, partialshipment, and shipcomplete orders.
  • Establish effective controls and visibility for products and orders that are received, picked, packed, staged, transferred, shipped, or released for local delivery.
  • Work closely with Purchasing to communicate inventory shortages, receiving discrepancies, backorders, replenishment requirements, and incoming inventory priorities.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Sales and Purchasing to provide accurate information regarding inventory availability, order status, fulfillment issues, and shipment timing.
  • Support inventory planning by providing operational insight regarding stock levels, product movement, slowmoving inventory, obsolete inventory, and warehouse capacity.
  • Ensure warehouse employees consistently follow established NetSuite processes and accurately complete required system transactions.
  • Partner with Operations and NetSuite resources to identify and implement improvements to warehouse workflows, dashboards, reports, forms, and system controls.
  • Participate in the evaluation, testing, implementation, and adoption of barcode scanning and Warehouse Management System (WMS) capabilities for receiving, inventory movement, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate unnecessary manual and paperbased processes and replace them with efficient, reliable, systemdriven workflows.
  • Develop and monitor warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, picking and shipping accuracy, receiving turnaround time, fulfillment performance, productivity, and safety.
  • Support warehouse expansion, relocation, layout redesign, or other operational improvement initiatives as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable warehouse and materialhandling standards.
  • Ensure employees operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment are properly trained, certified, and authorized.
  • Conduct routine warehouse, equipment, storage, and safety inspections and promptly address identified concerns.
  • Investigate and properly report workplace accidents, injuries, product damage, equipment damage, and safety incidents.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase warehouse capacity, productivity, inventory accuracy, employee effectiveness, and customer service.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, picking, packing, shipping, fulfillment, and material handling.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage warehouse employees in a fastpaced distribution or fulfillment environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory accuracy, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and rootcause analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish standardized processes, improve operational workflows, and hold employees accountable to established procedures.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple operational demands and respond to urgent or timesensitive customer and business requirements.
  • Experience working with ERP, inventorymanagement, or Warehouse Management System technology.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and effectively utilize NetSuite and other warehouse technology.
  • Ability to analyze warehouse performance data and use operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Strong crossfunctional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Operations, Purchasing, Customer Service, Sales, Apparel, Finance, and leadership.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and other required warehouse/materialhandling equipment.
  • Current forklift certification or ability to successfully complete required forklift certification upon hire.
  • High level of accuracy, accountability, professional judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to work handson in the warehouse and provide direct operational support when needed.
  • Preferred Education, Certifications, and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant warehouse leadership experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 35 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, fulfillment, or inventorymanagement experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse supervisory or management experience required.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), barcode scanning, RF scanners, or similar warehouse technology preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing warehouse SOPs, inventory controls, cyclecount programs, and performance metrics required.
  • Experience managing inventory across multiple locations preferred.
  • Experience in industrial distribution, safety products, PPE, emergency response equipment, or a similar distribution environment preferred.
  • Experience participating in a warehouse expansion, relocation, redesign, WMS implementation, or significant processimprovement initiative preferred.
  • Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work regularly in a warehouse and distribution environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, climb, push, pull, and perform physical activities associated with warehouse operations.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move products and materials consistent with Company safety guidelines and applicable requirements.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and other materialhandling equipment as required.
  • Ability to work around warehouse equipment, loading areas, racking, pallets, and moving inventory.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and environmental conditions as applicable.
