CDL Delivery Driver – Lead Local Logistics and Residential Material Distribution

Job Overview

The Opportunity

You will serve as a vital link between our lumberyard and the local community, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of essential building materials. This role allows you to be the face of a family-owned business while enjoying the stability of local routes that get you home every day. You will play a key part in supporting residential construction and home improvement projects throughout the region.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Execute safe and timely deliveries of lumber, flooring, and appliances to residential job sites.
  • Operate company vehicles with precision while adhering to all DOT and safety regulations.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of materials using proper equipment and safe handling techniques.
  • Verify order accuracy before departure to ensure complete customer satisfaction on every run.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation of delivery logs, mileage reports, and vehicle inspection records.
  • Provide professional and courteous service as the primary point of contact for contractors and homeowners.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and yard teams to stage inventory and optimize daily delivery schedules.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying 50–75 lbs regularly.
  • Proven track record of vehicle safety with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
  • Strong communication skills necessary for interacting with customers and logistics teams.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • 2 years of experience operating delivery trucks in a commercial environment.
  • Prior experience specifically handling building materials or flatbed delivery operations.
  • Familiarity with the local West Monroe area and surrounding residential geography.
