Job description

Title: Order Puller Ground & Truck
Functional Area: Pecan Street Warehouse (PWH)
Schedule: 2nd Shift
Reports to: Shipping & Warehouse Manager
Position Description: The primary purpose of the position is the pulling of orders from warehouse inventory locations, preparing them for transit, and loading them on freight carriers.
Order Puller Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
    • Operate all types of forklifts; stand-up, sit down, and order pickers. Move pallets of product from lower to upper tiers of racking.
    • Pull customer orders with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Performs the final quality check for labels and packaging on finished product.
    • Load, adjust and operate shrink-wrap and banding machine.
    • Process shipments into operator scan gun system.
    • Load and unload trucks
    • Receive and pick-up product from production.
    • Transfer finished product from Production to the proper locations in the warehouse.
    • Perform inventory verification on products for the Sales Department at their request.
    • Label shipments to be picked up.
    • Update inventory system information via scan gun as physical inventory movements occur.

  • Performing all job functions in a safe manner, follow and enforce all TRIDENT policies and procedures.
  • Leading housekeeping efforts and always maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all departments.
  • Accurate and complete reporting of production and quality data both manually and in computer systems.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision and maintain a working and up-to-date knowledge of products and services.
  • Must be able to handle self in a professional manner with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to take responsibility for self and team.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to continually bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulder, use arms, wrists, grasp and squeeze with hands, access constricted spaces, and lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to withstand occasional exposure to dusty or dirty ambient conditions.
  • Must be able to withstand occasional exposure to hot or cold ambient conditions.
  • Must be able to withstand occasional exposure to mild chemical irritants.

Training:
  • Training would be a mixture of online training on safety, quality, and production procedures along with on-the-job training conducted by an experienced Order Picker.
  • Additional training would be provided as needed by the Shipping & Warehouse Manager.
  • Training duration would normally be 1 month.
